I would give Derek from Sound In Motion a call. My bet is that he has designed a box already for the 981.

I got a response from Jim at SIM already. They said the footwell enclosure will fit 911s, Boxsters, and Caymans. The depth is 4.5" with an Illusion L10 10" sub.

Default Porsche 911 Sound install Ground

This is where this gets boring but necessary.

I took one look at all these plastic clips, and thought it was going to be a nightmare. Man I love German engineering. This was a breeze. Just pull the center, and they come right out.

Rather than completely disconnecting all of the wiring. I just laid the vapor barrier on the front seat connected.

I was looking through the install and it cleared up so much, i do have a few questions.
I'm actually doing a three way system with Hybrid audio legatia 3-ways.

1. Did you actually ground the trunk amplifier to the battery or to chasis, if so where did you manage to ground it.
2. Did you run power and ground and remote through the left and RCAs and speaker wires through the right?
3. How did you manage to get through the firewall, did you just go through a gromett on the right, does it pop inward ?

Amazing job man, this has helped so much.

I'm actually going with Hybrid Audio Legatia 8" 3" 1" passive
Arc Audio Xd1 1200.6 bridged 300w rms per door.
Arc Audio Black Seires 10" subs
Zapco 1100.1 1 ohm stable.

Kenwood DDX994
rear camer/ front camera

Final result for the subs will look like the picture on the rear deck but with 2 subs

How did your system turn out, i have a similar system, i opted with Hybrid L8SE in the front and it was tight, was wondering if you actually got 9" to fit in the doors.
I also ran the xdi 1200.6 curious about your install. great equipment, im running 10" bandpass alpine Type R powered by a zapco 1350

i actually ended up not doing the 9” and instead went with 7” Scanspeak Revelators. I think fitting those were tougher than the Morels since they are so deep. I also ended up replacing the head unit soon after with a Pioneer AVIC-W8400NEX. I wasn’t expecting much of an improvement other than some added features but it really did make a noticeable difference due to the higher voltage outputs. Overall I’m happy with the way it is now.

Default Door speakers

These are the 8" it was crazy hard to fit them. I'm running 3 ways up front 150wrms x6. These hybrid legatia are insane.

Thanks Msile and 1320 for the OP and the follow-up, Just wired my Valentine 1.5 and BlendMount to my overhead light/mirror as described on my 911 992. Note: I did purchase the Blendmount MT-1015 Power Cord with in-line fuse that came with an additional set of prongs(see pic below) . I needed to use the smaller set of prongs. no big deal. As stated by Msile and 1320, Torx Screw on passenger side needs to be removed. Credit card jab from driver position towards windshield on left and right side of overhead lighting fixture. Pop out right side "blue" connector and the thread the MT-1015 Power cord from the windshield side back towards the cabin. In order to facilitate this I wrap electrical tape around the prongs before feeding to make them more rigid while pulling down on the plastic cover (#2 cover in the OP) on the windshield side. The pic below show the thin clearing you have to thread the wire from the windshield side into the cabin. Then, insert prongs in white and clear receptors (smaller prongs in my case). Hardest part was pulling the plastic cover on OP #2 cover in order to thread the cable,
