I would personally not pay over MSRP and don't like it when dealers do it either. But what about all the used non-PTS cars which have sold/are available on the vehicle marketplace for over MSRP by individual sellers? At least these have no miles and full warranty. No reason to pay over now, once RS's hit more will go up for sale and assuming a .2 is released after the RS's are complete prices will drop from the stratosphere of 10-40k over.

Not arguing with either of you, just pointing out that some of them were sold at MSRP -- Ed's signal green, the Gaudin/LV fashion grey, and several of the arena red metallics were all offered/sold at MSRP. One of the ARMs was even offered to me at under MSRP. But yes, most of these late '15 PTS cars went to "premium-inclined" dealers, including one of RL's sponsors (particularly hard to forget since it was advertised/promoted in three separate threads).

Agree, my dealership in Vancouver and the one in Victoria, have been upstanding and stuck to MSRP. And the customer service has been great. I'm glad I don't have to deal with the shenanigans of some other dealerships we've been hearing about.

There's quite a few for sale now and more on the way (and not selling overnight) and will be worse in the next 2+ months. The honeymoon is coming to an end. A lot of the GT3 buyers aren't true "die hard Porsche" enthusiasts.
The 991.1 won't fair as well as the previous generations, and will get squeezed when the 991.2 arrives. Assuming there is a 991.2 GT3 before the next generation. A manual version will blow things out of the water. Amazing how many manuals are selling in the GTS and the GT4's being impossible to get. Quite the demand and a surprise to Porsche I'm sure.

My first ever encounter with their sales team back in 2010 resulted in this response from them:
When I read your email it sound you are try to buy a Lexus or a BMW. We sell Porsche. Porsche is not a mass car maker. If you are really looking at a Porsche the price is not the first thing you are concern about.

Hahaha. And this is why I never, ever, ever, ever, buy anything from Porsche of Stevens Creek. Love their service folks, though.

And we were talking about a C2S, not even a GT car.

Where's the emodicon when you need it? Man, the things that some of these dealers to make a little more money. Thanks to a fellow RL member I connected with the Gaudin sales manager...seems like a great guy who really understands the meaning of building a long-term relationship with a customer. I'm hoping to meet him next week.
