Thumbs down What paint is Porsche using on the 991s?

Someone keyed my car down the rear quarter panel and passenger door. I've got a few options with shops and the different paints, but I am reading in some places that Porsche was using Glasurit on the older cars but is now using PPG on the newer cars, but all of this is from 997 and earlier generations.

Does anyone know what paint Porsche is using these days?

So damn sorry.

I'm thinking a quick call to your dealer or even a Porsche certified bodyshop would provide the answer?

Good luck.

Traditionally, Porsche has used different manufacturers for different colors. Might still be this way...

Does anyone know what paint Porsche is using these days?
In the 991 era at least, OEM paint was supplied by DuPont Performance Coatings until that DuPont division was sold to The Carlyle Group & became known as Axalta Coating Systems (2013). Unless there has been a change in the past year or so, I believe Axalta (which owns Spies Hecker GmbH - Cologne) is the corporate entity supplying OEM paint for Porsche at the present time!

http://www.axaltacs.com/us/en_US/pro...approvals.html

I'll try to find out more on this subject on my upcoming visit to Zuffenhausen July 16th & 17th!

Saludos,
Eduardo
