500 horse power, and 2900 lbs with a V8 that was the expected outcome on a rolling start. GT3 would have a better chance from a dead stop, and the PDK will help against the single clutch. Not surprised to say the least.

The Gt3 has much more technology involved though. I would have thought with PDK and as per AP (GT3 around 500 hp) that the outcome would have been different.

560hp/1870kgs --> 0.29hp/kg

Spot on .........high revving cars on a roll against a V8 with gobs of torque. My M5 is a beast on a roll, but the GT3 will get off the line a lot faster.

Last week at the track there was a 430 Challenge in my same run group, I was in my 3.8l Cayman - he would demolish me on the straights and I was much faster through the corners and for longer. He was on slicks while I was finishing off a set of Trofs, so difference would have been even larger then.

I find corners more fun than straights...

Am I the only one that thinks this is a useless competition, it doesn't even look that fun. Roadcourse and feel for the track are the reason you buy these cars not rolling speed challenges. if I want a drag race I'll just buy a Turbo S. If I felt I could take a Fiat out on the racetrack every other weekend......beat the $#!+ out of it and then drive it home.......lather rinse repeat; and then have a modicum of reliability and low maintenance I would buy one. This just isn't what I would use either one of these cars for or have any interest in. Rant over.....the Fiat is still a great car

I completely agree with you, but I always like to see the power comparisons as well. Its always nice to know that our car can handle ourselves on the straights.
