Default WTB: 991 GT3

After a strange turn of events - sold my 993, teenager failed to yield resulting in a total loss on my 997.1 GT3 - I'm in the market for a 991 GT3.

I am in Atlanta, have cash in hand, and am motivated to move quickly since I don't have a vehicle now.

Dealbreakers:

Must Have Buckets
Must Not Be Yellow

Nice To Have:

PCCB
Full Leather
Steering Wheel in Alcantara, Not Leather
Extended Range Fuel Tank
Carbon Trim
Sound Package Plus
Satellite Radio
Michelin vs. Dunlop Tires
Extensive Clear Bra Coverage

Indifferent:

Miles
Track Time
Headlight Configuration
Front Axle Lift
Sport Chrono

Sorry to hear about your loss and I hope everyone is ok. I would get the first private sale car with Buckets you can find, values seem to be moving up even further due to the ongoing LWB problem at PAG. There are probably less than a 100 in the country with LWBs as an estimate.

These are with dealers, but give you an idea of 2 that are available:
$185k

$195k

Fortunately everyone is fine.

Stealer prices are not reflective of reality IMO.

They're actually doing a pretty good job controlling the market - most people on here that have sold theirs have done it back to dealers at full MSRP for tax credit preservation. I would still grab the first private one that works for you.

Mine is yellow, but it's going back to my dealer in late July when another car I've ordered shows up.

The gent's above are spot on. I found the EXACT car I wanted 65 days ago without LWB's. Even then, the stealers that had cars with LWB's were gouging 10K over. Now it's even worse, much worse. I was lucky enough to run into one of the short attention span GT3 owners who wanted a different color. I paid 147K for a '15 with 1300 miles. Good luck..

Then I think you would be surprised as to how many dealers are getting over MSRP on used 991 GT3s. If you start calling around, your perception of reality will surely change quickly.

Did RossL already sell his? Check out the for sale section. Has the buckets, is beautiful, and was only slightly above MSRP if I remember correctly.

I fired Jim Ellis a few years ago when they charged me north of $3k to fix the immobilizer on my 993, failed to fix it, gave me a car back with no lights on the dashboard (ie, no instrumentation after dark), and then charged me more money to fix it for good a few weeks later.

I live in Atlanta and make sure I take every opportunity to remind anyone at PCNA with a brain how aggrieved I was.

So I'll pass on that car.

Shameless plug for my car. Meets most of your options as well as your must haves https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...t-buckets.html

I can say the market for my car at least is quite hot. I received 4 offers in the first week and another 2-3 offers last week. All but 1 or 2 were over MSRP.

Wow - mine might be too valuable to keep! Although I don't know what could replace it - nothing even comes close until you get to double the price.
