Default No passenger seat occupancy sensor (LWB)?

I noticed that when my passenger does not buckle up, there is no warning like there is for the driver. Service tech (an excellent one) said this is normal. Can anyone with LWB's confirm this? It is just so hard to believe this could be true in the nanny state. How could this slip by the NHTSA?

Agree. That can not be correct or 'normal'. Take it up with the Service Manager...and/or contact PCNA directly.

Could you explain? And it sounds like it worked originally.

He would have disabled them because he is using 6 pt harnesses. Otherwise, one needs to plug in a blank to stop the warning. It is a PIWIS entry to turn it on/off is my understanding

Aah, that explains it. The Porsche tech set my car up for 6 pt seats and he must have done it.

But the driver side still works, so I assume that can't be disabled?

Occupancy sensor in the sense of triggering the buckle seat belt warning light.

Will the dealer do it? For both driver and passenger seat if you have 6 pt? Or will they claim some safety rule and make you go out and find someone else? Because I rode in a 991 GT3 and he had to strap the original belts under himself when using the 6 pt to avoid the alarm.

I have a dummy buckle that I use for the driver seat to defeat the warning.

They disabled the sound but the dash light comes on but goes out after a minute.
