It's not a big deal to not have the net but they do come in handy every now and then given the limited pockets of the car. I haven't hard wired my radar detector yet so I use the net to quickly store it when I park.

Have it never used it. Hoping to get a 16 and if I do it won't be on the order.

Never used it but added it. It's free

I didn't want it as I didn't see any need for it and thought it might detract from the look / image of the car. However, I think if it came with the car "by accident" I'd get over it especially if you don't notice it from drivers side.

This is certainly the most minor thing that could possibly happen to your order. I bet 95pct of cars have it. Looks fine - don't sweat it.

Lol, so true.

It's where my GF keeps her school ID!

I specifically did not order it, even though a freebe. I am an old 911 guy from my first 1970 911E. The cars didn't have them originally, I don't see the need for it and frankly I think it detracts from the look of the cabin. Don't regret it missing from your car, in my view the dealer did you a favor.

There are two options I never ever order a 911 without: 1) Smoking Package, 2) Luggage Net in Passenger Footwell.

Period.

"I don't always custom order 911's, but when I do I order them with the smoking package and luggage net in passenger footwell."

The net is perfect for managing USB cables and regulated 3-port USB charger emanating from the 12v receptacle in the footwell.

Surprised no one has brought up the fact that it adds weight to a GT car........ ;)

OCturbo 06-06-2015 10:58 AM

I specifically didn't order it for same reasons as others have stated and I was worried that having it may negatively effected the resale

I'm generally not too worried about resale (we tend to put mileage on our cars and keep them a long time), but I was avoiding it for the appearance and previous negative comments I had read about here on RL. But it seems many find it at least marginally useful, so I'll live with it. It is just frustrating that the dealer put it in the build when I did not. This has just been an annoying process (hardest $150k+ I've ever spent, lol). It is now time to focus on the excitement of actually getting the car!
