Default GT3 RS... WANTED!

I know it's a long shot, but stranger things have happened.

If ANYONE knows of, backs out of, or decides to sell their RS after taking delivery, please pm me.
I am in frequent contact with my dealer, but doesn't looks very promising. So I'm just trying to cover all bases in securing one (I am in no hurry as far as taking delivery whatsoever).

Ideally I'd like to spec my own, but beggars can't be choosers.

And no... I am not willing to pay over sticker for one. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck. My dealer just can't get an allocation. Sure appears to me that at an out of town, dealer, a premium will be required.

I have now, as of today, ordered an m/y 2016 GT3 (not a RS) She thinks she might get it, but at this point, she is not sure.

Unfortunately that just wouldn't work.

Congrats on the GT3. You're going to love it. MY dealer is getting 9-10 RS's. Only problem is they are all going to these darn 918 owners. I mean c'mon now.... as If a 918 isn't enough!!!

Which dealer are you talking about? I wonder how many 918 owners would have gotten an RS if they didn't have a VIP program? Half of them? Less? More? The biggest question for me is how many of those VIP buyers will flip their RSs (either themselves or with the help of their dealers).

I want an RS too. This whole allocation process is corrupt for lack of a better expression.

Yeah, to be honest, based on all the 918 owners I know who aren't on Rennlist, almost all wouldn't even consider a 991.1 GT3 RS or a 981.1 GT4 if not for the easy VIP allocation.

Sounds right. Frustrating for everyone ... except those who already own a 918.

Supposedly 2000 total RS will be produced. Anyone knows how many RS has been ordered so far? Maybe time to look at other options if this allocation business is not resolved next couple weeks. This is becoming ridiculous.

While I support the market paradigm, I do not like it in this case cause I want one too. I know a 918 owner getting 2 rs and 1 gt4. Flipping all three. Don't blame him making money and someone will be be happy just not me. It seems this is a speculators game right now.

I tried to get a 991 gt3 RS via a friend's 918 VIP program, which is officially called the '918 Spyder Circle'. We were told in writing by the West Coast Regional Manager at PCNA that there was a six-month hold period before selling/passing title to someone else was allowed. Failure to abide by the rules of the program is enforced simply by...losing all your future VIP buying privileges! So our understanding was that there were some rules and not just a 'speculator's game'!

Is this the understanding of the 918 owner you know?

Or is he marching to a different drum..or different rules?

Does anyone who is a 918 owner and is actually getting a 991 gt3 RS (like Anonymous918) please clarify for us what YOU have been officially told regarding a 'holding-period' before you are allowed to resell?

Saludos,
Eduardo

^ 6 months holding period? u know that's easy to fix.
IF im in 918 circle. i buy RS, sell to you 100k over. i will pass you the car and the title immediately. just dont register for 6 month.

are we all in kindergarten? this "rule" is really going to work? i can't fathom anyone who can afford 918 can possibly be this stupid IF they CHOOSE to play the game.

i am not suggesting that they are playing the GAME. i am merely pointing out a set of useless un-enforceable rules.

Yup, I give cash to a 918 owner....he gives me the car....sends me the signed off title 6 months after he purchases the car. Rule loop-holed....easy peasy....so much for PCNA's little rule. Maybe they can come up with a better way to enforce their rules with their next VIP program.

Wouldn't consider one or wouldn't deal with wasting their time putting a deposit down years before the cars come out and hoping they get an allocation.

I knew I should have married into wealth....doing it the old fashioned way takes way too much time.

Eduardo, I did not talk specifics to him but making a premium is the plan and in the works. I think Mooty has it.
