but as W8MM stated, there's no hold period for VIP (only for dealers)
but let's just say there IS hold period for VIP. how is that ok?
many ppl buy a car and get bored after 3 days.
and if the mtk at the time is msrp + x, he is entitled to the amount.
did he make a profit, yes
did he plan to make a prifit? we can't read his mind. we can never conclusively say one way or another.
so now all of a sudden, one cannot sell his car at the time he wants to??
now we need a cadre of lawyers to buy and sell a car....
this is getting to be too much.

Although, for the benefit of other readers... Paying over MSRP in the US is vastly different from paying the fares / taxes / import premiums in Australia (so long as Aussie dealers are charging MSRP -- if they aren't, then that's what could be compared to our dealers charging MSRP).
The import premiums are horrendous.
This is probably because there are too many of us on here are still waiting for allocs. Not enough dished out by PAG to PCNA, to be honest... The only ones you're likely to find (for now) are those where the dealers are sitting on them asking $50k over MSRP waiting for a sucker to arrive.
