Funny you would ask that. We are presently having a very
engaging discussion on this topic over at the 991 forum that
might be of interest to some of you solid 'grey' color fans.
If you decide to hold out for 'Nardo Gray', I suggest you get
someone to assist you in trying to get that color on the approved
PTS list, just like GreenLantern managed to get 'Chartreuse'
approved after a long process & color feasibility study.

Will do. If it arrives at the dealer by then, I will try to fly down in 2 weeks. Although ordered through Scott Doty at Danbury Porsche (fantastic guy) with huge assist from Melissa Witek in Atlanta, I am having it shipped to (the dealership formerly known as) Brumos. Not great driving season in Connecticut! Will likely leave it in Florida until the Spring thaw!

for many German-made automobiles as part of the delivery
process stateside. I have done over 10 of them - Porsche,
BMW, Mercedes & Audi - in the past 30 years. The latest
now for me will be a 'courtesy delivery' of my Audi RS7 in
Washington State shortly (Feb or March) so that my wife &
I can plan a small tour of the Pacific Northwest at the start
of our RS7 ownership experience.
All it takes is your dealer to coordinate with another willing
dealer in the network. And it might mean that your selling
dealer might have to share the 'delivery prep' expense that
the importer (e.g. PCNA) pays the dealer for that minor
'work'. But it's all doable if it's arranged ahead of when
the car gets shipped from the German port of Emden!
The car never gets transported to the selling dealer. It
goes from port of entry to the location of the 'courtesy
delivery' dealer. There is no extra expense for the selling
dealer or the importer to get it there!
