Just confirmed with dealer my change from gelbgrun to birch green/lightgrun.

Now question is whether the yellow pccb calipers will go well with birch. I may try to get exclusive to do them in silver to match wheels or black??

I tried to get painted calipers about 3 times since I first got the allocation and kept getting a no go on it. It might have changed now but I just gave up and stuck with yellow.

I also tried stitching choices, lava 12 o'clock choice, lava trim on the customizable floor matts. All no go.

Why are you switching away from 'Gelbgrün/Green Yellow'? Does it have anything to do with the information given earlier on this thread that the color appears on this photo & looks similar to the other bright greens? And thus you were disappointed?

I agree with Nate. I do not believe PAG will agree to do that...so you may have to do after delivery. The only exception so far that I know involves PCCBs is in the very high end '918' model. There customers were given a choice of 'Silver' instead of the 'Acid Green' (which is standard in their case instead of a 'speed yellow' color). And that privilege comes at a high cost - $2800 - via the customized CXX option via 'Porsche Exclusive'!

I'm just hoping that by the time I get an allocation, PTS will still be available to me.

Viper Green sounds awesome! Can't wait to see your car.
I just confirmed 253, birchgreen. I wanted 226 Chartreuse but did not want to take the chance and find out it was a no go and then be forced to stick to my third choice UV.

I too just confirmed 253 over a possible 226 choice. I went with Black wheels and ceramics. I was thinking about the silver but reviewed this with my SA who is really experienced in the Porsche Exclusive and PTS world and we both came to the same conclusion. So hope for the best, worst position they can be painted.

Good choice with Birch Green, especially because Chartreuse is a definite No Go since it's not even approved on the regular PTS list yet.

Congrats!

I would go Platinum Wheels, black takes away too much detail especially with the 21" rears. IMO, some contrast is needed given all the black on the car - if you add decals you can also use the same platinum color in the decals. At least that is my plan with my car.

You can google a number of Birch Green cars with black rims and there is a 991 3 with the platinum.

I'm a Black Wheels all the way, for everything, kinda guy. But I do recognize that it's a very personal choice.

Default Reference Guide to PTS in a MY2016 991 gt3 RS

I'm slightly jealous at those brave enough to order a bright color. I've never owned a car outside of gray, black or silver. I'm considering a IROC color but Grigio Telesto calls as a safe color.

Colors are a headache.

I think getting a real head turning color works well on an RS, more so maybe than a GT3, in the same way some of these guys get away with wearing these horrendous colored pants on a golf course. No where else would you get away with it!! Go big or go home!!
