Visited museum/factory today
Unfortunately I only had a few hours to see it all, but I was fortunate enough to get a tour of the archives and it's absolutely mind-blowing; seeing hand-written notes and original early photos of the history of the Porsche company. I'm still taking it all in.
As for the factory, who's USA-bound LO RS is this? PCCB, black LEDs etc. Sorry I didn't get the VIN, but I was trying to stay out of the way of the production line guys.

I took a shedload of photos, but my current internet connection is giving me grief when I try to upload. Might have to wait till tomorrow to try again.
As regards RS's, I saw the one US-bound LO on the line and a second, white one parked outside. Saw 2 GT3s on the line: a yellow one, RHD, that I was told is bound for Australia, and a white one, on which I wasn't able to get any details.
On another note, I never thought that I would have enjoyed the factory/museum tours as much as I did. I always just thought it would be a fun experience. However, having now done it, I equate it more to a religious experience; I'm simply overwhelmed with what I saw today and wish that I'd had a (lot) more time to take it all in. It's absolutely something that I would recommend for any P car fan of any level. I'm definitely going to revisit in the future and will budget a lot more time for the next visit; this trip was added to a work visit, so my itinerary was not of my own making.

P.S. slightly bummed I didn't see a purple RS on the line - I really want that color, too, and was hoping to see it with my own eyes.

I noticed several Lava Orange targas and regulars Carreras on the line. I think it's going to be a popular color across the range. Glad I'm getting a purple RS!

Thanks for the pics, Vivian, and glad you had a great time. Were you allowed special dispensation to take photos of the production line or did you have a hidden camera?

Did our friend Dieter Landenberger arranged that tour of the Archives for you?
Sounds like a great visit!
