I actually saw 2 white RS's, but one was still in a box (see pic). The other was outside and I snapped a pic through the window. Too far away for me to notice detail, unfortunately.

I'm definitely going to schedule a return trip that's not work-related; I need to spend more time there.

^re white RS: looks to me like a Euro bumper (wider license plate recess), so this one may not be headed to the US. (??)
Vivian, did you arrange the archives tour in advance, or was this something you were able to do once you showed up at the factory? I'm sure that would have been a huge highlight to see!
Thanks again for the photos!!

The concert promoter here set up the private tour for me. To be honest, I wasn't expecting it at all, I just thought they might have someone escort me around the museum, so I was shocked that they actually opened up the vaults and let me look at all the incredible hand-written notes and ledgers. It's truly staggering the way they have it all organised and I feel very privileged to have been able to see it firsthand. Can't wait to go back!

Thanks for sharing, that's amazing. I never did get to the factory, but managed a tour of the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart...I must of taken over 200 pictures in that place.
Really excited about the new facility in Atlanta opening this summer..

Thanks for the reply, Vivian. When I visited in both 2009 and 2014 they were very specific about no pictures on the line but hey, I wouldn't worry if I were you. For whatever reason you were given permission so all's well and we got to share in the result!

...On another note, I never thought that I would have enjoyed the factory/museum tours as much as I did. I always just thought it would be a fun experience. However, having now done it, I equate it more to a religious experience; I'm simply overwhelmed with what I saw today and wish that I'd had a (lot) more time to take it all in. It's absolutely something that I would recommend for any P car fan of any level. I'm definitely going to revisit in the future and will budget a lot more time for the next visit...
Make sure to visit the Mercedes Benz museum too. Stunning!
Thanks again for sharing.
