I love my 18 way seats and prefer them over LWB's. I don't track the car and I typically go on long drives when I take the 3 out so for me LWB's are not for me.

To the OP, if you can find a 16' allocation and get top dollar for yours why not make the switch, its a no brainer. Just make sure LWB's are comfortable enough. They look great yes but I didn't like the lack of adjustment when I sat in them...

How many disk do you have fused or torn in your back ?
I sat in the 918 buckets for 5 minutes and I couldn't take anymore. Lumbar support/adjust is the issue.

It really looks good. And if it fits you perfectly, then a LWBS is for you.

My 2 cents, how can other sport car manufacturers have their CF seat back rest adjustible and even you can order small, medium and large, while porsche can only offer 1 size fits all seats. You cannot even adjust the back rest. That to me is a mistake. Someday, when I would DD this car, I would buy a 4 way seat.

I'm comfortable in my LWBs. I've had a few 3 hour drives without any issues, and I'm normally pretty sensitive to a lack of lumbar support.

I normally drive with a seat in the very upright "track" driving position anyway, so the LWBs are already angled how I would want them anyway. Passengers might wish for more of a recline on long drives, but I haven't heard any complaints yet.

I have to agree with the OP that the LWBs are the only seats that should come from factory on a GT3. 18-way seats with a number of motors/levers/bladders do not belong in a GTx series car. Unless the GTx series is aiming at boulevard cruisers.

lol. If you have a broken back, then I agree sofas are probably a better option. Getting in and out of the LWBs are the only downside.

I also have a 997 Turbo S and I prefer the LWBs, hands down.

Once I get a firm Build Date I might. I was scheduled for May, but now supposedly 10 week delay. Will see. Best Allan

I do not disagree with you, I just don't understand why there is only one size of these seats.

It is unheard of that a sports seat is not tailored to the driver, let's say F1 or Sebring. I think this is short coming from porsche to assume this will fit with everybody. Is too much to ask to at least you can incline it?
