New will be a steep price hike. Given how well the .1 has been received with used ones going over MSRP I would not be surprised to see a steep price hike and little else.

So true for 991.1 RS but if Porsche keep focusing
on how eroding the used 911 GTx customer' potential margin or little devaluation rather than making money from the Macan Cayenne 987 Panny and "base" 911 buyers

Then they will find more and more difficult to sell
all the new 911GTx

In other words We (Porsche 911GTx owners)
are inflating all their brand perceived Passion and Enthusiasm
that make Porsche keeping high it's reputation
and "base" buyers motivated from us indirectly

Less reselling margin or worse a McL like devaluation curve it is A very Bad Idea
One of the 2 Already reality for .1RS (+50k not justified)

Dumb Big company "today" money maker managers seems not to understand what Porsche Was i
Is and Must be
Differently they will make some little more money today but killing the brand softly if keep going that way
(There must be a reason if they are today the higher profit (for them) car makers

Your reading comprehension is the problem here - I never referred to GT3 vs GT3R.

The 9a1 in the GT3 is not the 9a1 in the C2S. The GT3 has never been based on the C2S other than the idea that all 911's are similar and both are NA.

I think there is a misunderstanding regarding the 4 and the RPM reduction. The 4 is fine with going to 9K but power band is such that going to 9K takes it too far beyond max power so it is more beneficial to set redline slightly lower for the power curve.

In return you get a wider torque curve that if beneficial because the engine is more usable over wider area.
