Does the K spec look any different then the N spec?
Sorry if this is a noob question but how do you know if your tires had heat cycled out? Could you heat cycle them with aggressive street driving? Just wondering after our smokies event.

K spec have a different sidewall design and a higher load rating.

You know if the tires are heat cycled out if they are no longer gripping anywhere near where they used to grip brand new. My own personal experience:

Nspec: 1.3G brand new, drop to 1.2G before front tread is gone
Kspec: 1.2G brand new, drop to 1.0G when heat cycled out

It's controversial whether or not aggressive street driving constitutes a heat cycle. Some say yes, some say no. I'm not sure. I lean towards no.

Or you could get the C2S size as a holdover. I've also had luck calling them and magically "finding" a set that shows out of stock.

Thanks. Wow sounds like the N spec are better from your Gs and not heat cycling out so quick.

I think the odds are better you will be arrested before you can generate a tire heat cycle on the street.

This limited supply of Michelins is a bit of a worry...I attended a small exhibition here in Kuwait and there was a stand for Pirelli and they had P Zero in the correct sizes. How do these tires compare to the Michelins and Dunlops.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I had my dealer call Tire Rack, but there were no tires just for the dealer. My dealer eventually called all over before finding a set in the Midwest.

What a pain though. I hope Michelin makes more before the end of summer.
