My PCM started rebooting tonight. It also lost the jukebox, USB port and it looks like the map is stuck on the last location. Hooked up the durametric and there were no codes in the unit. Also pulled the fuse to reset things. Still no dice, will need to take it to the dealer. This is on a 2015.

Mine's rebooted a few times, refused to display maps in north-orientation, and failed to mount my iPhone fairly often. Been reset once. Needs replacing I think.

Porsche is sticking their head in the sand on this one. My 2015 was diagnosed in the Fall and a part was supposedly ordered. It's on back order is all I got when I called. 6 fookin months almost. So I lit some fires and now it is going in today for a final test. Really? If it really needs the part it will be ordered, to be here in 4-5 days. I get a Cayenne to beat on.
Work around is to find a classical radio station and turn the volume all the way down and switch off the ignition and wait a few min.
When the car starts back up it will remember the low volume and not be as annoying.

Hi everybody
My 2014 991GT3 PCM started acting funny yesterday. It would turn off every minute or so and then reboot and turn back on, displaying the Porsche emblem like it was starting up. It keeps happening every 60 to 90 seconds or so and is
very annoying. I took it to the dealer and they said they need to replace the entire PCM. They have to order one from Germany and it will take 4-5 days to arrive. Have any other 991 GT3 owners out there experienced this? any thoughts on what it could be and how to fix it without having to wait or another trip to the dealer?

You don't need a new PCM. Look up on how to clone your PCM hard drive to a new SSD drive using CloneZilla. There's threads here that give great detail on each step. My PCM was rebooting every few minutes, but I was able to save it and it now has an quicker SSD to boot.
