Nice find, Ed. Never heard of these tires, but would be interested seeing how they perform as an alternative.

I had horrible experiences with Continental. Never tried those tires though.

I don't plan to be the Guinea Pig on this one. That is why I am asking and with the overwhelming response it's a no go...

you haven't given it much time for people to respond. I can only give you my brand experience, not this particular tire, but it has been positive. In comparison to Michelin's used on my various M3's the the Conti's have been quieter, as light or lighter and as grippy or grippier. Wear has been the same.

Edit: You no doubt read the tire rack review: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=184

Overall it's not in the same league as the Cup tire (they don't say which one they test against, but we know the OE Cup tire is special cut above other versions), but close and overall looks like a good tire. I wouldn't hesitate, OK maybe I would if I wanted a direct Cup replacement, but if I wanted an everyday tire for street use, this might be a good choice.

I am looking for a good street dot track tire. It looks for now that it is the Cup2 or the Trofeo R.. I wish there were more choices.

When I had the Trofeo R's I felt the ride was better than the original Cup tires and others have shown it is an excellent track tire. Not cheap, but not as much as the Cup2's which you can't get in Porsche spec.

Actually, Trofeo R are about $200 more than MPSC2 Nspec in 991 GT3 sizes.

^I stand corrected my data is circa 2013 compared to first gen cups. Anyways you can't get N spec rears right now except maybe from dealers, correct?
