Default Digital thermometer

Anyone used a Non contact digital thermometer instead of a Pyrometer to check tire temp differences? Trying to find an easy to use quick check for the track

Think of those thermometers as a flashlight that averages temperature over the entire beam. The ones with a very small beam output average a smaller area, hence more accurate for localized temperatures, which is what you would want in this case, are they are the expensive ones.
