Signal Green is gonna stay on top of the list for now . Like you mentioned there is a slight difference in colour on older generation cars for some reason. For the orange I have sent the colour to the Ferrari dealer, so lets see what he comes back to me with..
I am not a Ferrari color expert but that 'Orange' color might even be a metallic and, thus, not similar to the present PTS orange colors we are familiar with.
I have heard of a few 458 Speciales done in that hue.
In Germany:
In England:

In the US:

The quick change from dark to light (shade to full sun) suggest to me a metallic paint, which is not the case with either 'Pastel', 'Gulf' or 'Continental' - the Porsche oranges discussed by Nate.
*************
In general, never select a color for your PTS order based on photographs. They lie (due to lenses, filters, light conditions, etc). You have to see the color in person. If you want to see a 'Signal Green' gt3 come visit me in a few weeks and you can see it with your own eyes! I have to admit I have never seen the 22S formulation of 'Signal Green' that I am getting:
But I had a PTS W25 'Signal Green' from 2007, which has more yellow tint:
But W25 is not yet approved, only 22S. And I didn't specced this car. It was one of the late '15 PTS allocations that surfaced recently in the US dealer network. But I'll let everyone know what I think of 22S pretty damn soon...and compare the color to the factory painted rear spoiler of the old W25 'Signal Green' 2007 997S which I have as a memento in my garage:
But I am a special case since I love 'Signal Green' in general...and it's a PTS gt3 in 'Green' which might prove to be a rare bird indeed. Otherwise, I would advise against ordering any color you have not personally seen with your own eye *****! So caveat emptor.

Yup. My Aquamarine Blue back up is Slate Grey.
This is a useful site for anyone interested in 356 colors:

Be aware there are two distinct 'Slate Grey' PTS colors available!
There was at first some confusion if the above photo was actually 'Slate Grey'. It first appeared on a post by Suzy911 in March 2014 as color code Y97 which was referred in period PTS list as 'Silver Stone' and not 'Slate Grey':
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8036...ts-991s-2.html
More about the color & the confusion here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-turb...1-turbo-s.html
The 'Slate Grey' of the 991 Turbo S in the thread above is color code '615' & referred to as 'Slate Grey 6601'.
After the 2/25/2015 PTS list came out, the 'confusion' seemed to be solved. Color code Y97 was no longer called 'Silver Stone' by PAG/PCNA. It's name now is also 'Slate Grey'...but it's referred to as 'Slate Grey RAL 7015' (See attached PTS list). So caveat emptor...there are two PTS 'Slate Grey' and they don't look exactly the same!

Reminds me of the infamous BMW Atlantic versus Atlantis story:

Ed, perhaps you could petition PAG to call these grey variations Slate and Slait ... that should prevent any confusion.
