Default Is There Any Exhaust Out There That......

.... based on actual dynos, does not lose ANY low end torque or high end to the stock system with PSE engaged. In this regard I am not interested in butt dynos, engineering assumptions or the speculative benefit of future ECU tuning, which for me is akin to waiting for Godot. I am absolutely unwilling to give up one iota of the performance I paid for.

Akrapovic will have a full exhaust replacement available soon (with 3 mufflers), which is most likely not to lose power anywhere in the power band. They spend a lot of money on R&D, so if it can be done, they'll be the ones to do it.

But, you gotta pay $$$.

I would leave your exhaust stock - then full power is guaranteed.

S-PO/TI/2 is released couple of months ago... it costs around $12k, a lot of money!

Here is the Akra Graph for their street evolution system - I'm going to pick up their system for my RS when it arrives.

All you have to do is stick with one of the center muffler delete options and leave valves connected. You could also look into the EVOMS systems.

My conclusion is the distillation of all that others here have done and said is to leave the car stock. None of the offerings tried fully address the lack of sound inherent in the stock PSE below 4K. The sound issue appears tied to engine back pressure and hence performance which is not easily or inexpensively addressed by aftermarket offerings

It is unclear to me whether the stock graph here has PSE activated. I e-mailed Akra this question a few months ago and they have yet to respond.

I have never seen a center muffler delete system graph that directly compares it with stock on a dyno and meets the power requirements I've listed.

The EVOM system looks like it would qualify, but I forgot to add one more requirement I have. A system with headers is not street legal in California and will not pass the visual inspection with a tech that knows what he's looking at. I've never seen an after-market header with CARB certification

I'm assuming it does not have it activated - so the gain with it activated will be lower.

We can't be talking about the same thing - 12k is too cheap.

I'm talking their full system with all 3 replacement mufflers and titanium exhaust manifold with high flow cats and cast-titanium merge collectors. I first saw it at GMG's open house in Feb, where the guy running Akrapovic USA was showing it. At that time, it wasn't ready for purchase.

I think it's something like 18k.

I really like the sound of these but have yet to see a direct dyno comparison of them to stock, along the lines I've mentioned.

But that's kind of my point. Do we know if the Akra is going to give up some low end to stock, when the stock has PSE activated?

What about right and left bypass pipes without silencer but with valves as the cargraphic?

I ordered them for my gt3 and cargraphic say they would make some power difference compared to their rear muffler delete they will be lighter and there should be no drone.

If used with the rear oem muffler you will still get a difference in sound between open or closed sport exhaust.
