GT3 or GT4?

GT3 or GT4?
I recently sold my 2015 Z06 which was a headache with reliability, overheating, engine, and other issues. I'm looking forward to replacing it with my first Porsche and I have deposits down on both the 2016 GT3 and GT4. I think I would be happy with either, but assuming the freakish happens and I get both allocations I have a choice to make (good problem to have!) since I don't have the garage space to add both.
GT3 pluses:
1. Engine
2. Quicker around a track. My home track is COTA which has long straights to use the extra power.
3. PDK-S shift times
4. 9000 RPM!
5. Corner exit traction
GT4 pluses:
1. Looks slightly more pleasing to my eyes
2. Manual transmission
3. ~$45k, or ~50% less
4. Lighter, track consumables should last longer
5. Mid engine balance
I do around 20-25 track days a year and will also drive it on the street, but I have a 2015 M3 with DCT for daily duties. I'm wondering if the power of the GT4 will satisfy after my recent foray into forced induction via a GTR, Z06, and M3. I also fear that I will miss the manual transmission (already do sometimes) if I go with two dual clutch cars.
Tough decision given driving both before deciding is going to be very unlikely! Thoughts?

I would think you would prefer a GT3RS.
Your GTR will serve your straight line needs and work has a head turner with young guys. Heavy on track. M3 will serve you well as the daily driver. GT4 or GT3 will suite you well. Since we are a GT3 form; I'd choose GT3.

I went with the GT4, since the Manual gearbox was not offered in the Gt3. However, it now seems clear that some version of the GT3 will come with manual and that would be a great choice if your timeline is flexible.

If you can afford the extra $'s - GT3 no question about it.
Got to think about the time you're at the lights in the 4 and someone in a 3 pulls up alongside you - you'll realize the answer then and it will be too late!!!

I would get the GT4 - no point spending the money on the GT3 unless you didn't want a stick. Given you prefer a stick GT4 seems like a better call. You've also got he M3 if you want to sometimes track a DCT.

Good point. Tracking the M3 for the first time next weekend so that will also help make the decision I think.

I have made my choice.
Given the extraordinary response Porsche got on the GT4,changed AP and Porsche's strategy in general, regarding some of the choices they'll make in the future. All of this is illustrated in the article GrantG quoted above.
You can't go wrong with either.
