Default Small issue on tail light

I have noticed a piece of rubber/plastic emerging from below my left tail light. Anyone had this before, or know what it is?

Trust me I'm no DIY guy, but it's very easy to take the tail light off. I changed to clear tails on my 991S and it's just two Torx screws. Id take the light off and take a look.

I'm no DIY by any standards but I did it myself. Yay! Just yank it out.

Yank it. Toss it. I've heard they are vibration shims but once removed I had no issues.

it is for vibration!

remove the tail light, put it back in place and reinstall the tail light.
10minutes job. I did not remove it, I put it back.

I keep shoving mine back in... annoying little buggers. I'm going outside to whip mine out right now!

Those are vibration shims. The dealer replaced them on my car, and used what they call Mercedes glue/ Super glue so they wouldn't move out again. This is a warranty item, no charge to fix these.

Funny

I brought mine in when I saw this and the Master Mechanic says let me have a look. He says this will take a lot of time and he ripped them out in 3 seconds and walked away laughing- I found that great
