New GT3 or Keep Ferrari and 996 Turbo?

I have owned both of your cars. Its nice to have some choice and have them be different. A 991 GT3 is a more advanced car than either. Some days I wish I had kept my 360 and called it a day.

This is virtually the question. There is no real comparison between a 360 and a 991 GT3 - if you are trying to evaluate analytically. It is an emotional decision - btw one that I have also faced.
I currently own a 360 Spider, which I tracked until I bought a 997.2 GT3 a few years ago and it became my track car. No comparison at the track, GT3 hands down, although I did track my Spider (and instruct) at the Ferrari nationals last year. This year I made the decision to swap my 997 GT3 for a 991 GT3, which I have now tracked a few days.
The 991 GT3 may be the best all around car I have ever driven, it is perfectly capable of being a DD and, at the track, I don't believe there is a better or faster car - not requiring extensive mods. I just equaled my personal best lap time this weekend in my 991 GT3, in a completely unmodified car, compared with my track prepared 997 GT3 on R compounds.
So, how do you compare, actually I don't as, at least for now, I kept my 360 Spider, which I currently drive rarely, but the feeling of driving it is like no other car I have ever owned. The handling, the V-8, the sound, the beauty of the car is - for me - unmatched. While I know the 430 and especially the 458 are in another league completely for handling and performance, I personally believe the 360 Modena and Spider are the best designed modern Ferraris.
As far as your 996 Turbo, I actually traded my 996 Turbo cab for the 360 Spider and have never looked back. I also instructed a student this past weekend in a 997 Turbo, which was very fast and performed well on the track, but no comparison to a GT3, 991 or 997.
So, if possible, I would keep the Modena and buy a 991 GT3. If you can only have one car, the 991 GT3 wins hands down. A Ferrari, at least a 360 is really not a DD - I have 30,000 miles on my Spider - so while not a DD, it was well driven and cared for.
Good luck.

I've had multiple examples of the 996tt both cab and coupe and two 360 spiders (both 6 sp. manual)
I didn't care for the clutch operation of the 996 and thought the 997tt was a HUGE advance. The 360's were pretty fun, but slow.
Neither is comparable to the 991 3. It is blindingly fast, compliant, easy to drive and more fun than the 360.
As others have said, drive one and that will determine your decision.

The 996 TT should go and be replaced by the GT3. If getting the GT3 means you also have to get rid of the 360, so be it. I have a GT3 and Speciale, and am finding that the GT3 gets driven a lot more than the F car, for a host of reasons.

Keep them. They're both great to drive.

I had these cars. Sell the 996 tt it was very boring to me. Keep the 360 if you can : Ferrari is more special than any of these Porsches. Add the 991 gt3 : best all round car.

There's no way I'd trade those for a GT3 personally.
You can drive the 996 anywhere and not care.
Then for fun and special occasions you take out the Fcar.
I don't find the new GT3 all that exciting personally. I'd stick with what you have.

Considering you don't mind adding money and your hesitation; why not trade the 996TT in for a GT3 and if you notice the Ferrari doesn't get driven anymore; sell that one as well?

Yup...like others have said...sell 996TT...keep the 360 if you still love it and get the GT3. The car is friggin amazing....a fully weaponized sport vehicle.

Thanks for all of the replies! I truly appreciate it. Unfortunately, I can't say that it makes it any easier for me, LOL
I got some expected responses, but also some VERY shocking ones. (ie. considering selling a 458!)
I think at this point, the safest approach seems to be to sell the 996TT and keep the Ferrari for now and add the 991 GT3 (then decide to keep the Ferrari or not if it doesn't get used enough). I already have the wife approval to do that
If I were to sell both cars, I would decide to purchase the GT3 as soon as I made a definitive decision. I have no problem waiting, but slimming down my extra cars and having one that does it all has a strong appeal to me.
After taking everything into consideration, I'm thinking that I should concentrate on finding a way to test drive a 991 GT3 and act accordingly after I see if it's what I'm looking for in a roadworthy all out sports car.

Based on more info provided above sell both your cars and get the GT3. Not only do win by slimming down to one car that does it all, you also pick up a 4 year warranty and a car that will cost very little to maintain for some time. The Ferrari will continue to age and those costs will add up and you can not compare the 996 Turbo to what the 991 GT3 will offer. I know -you will miss the attention of a red Ferrari but when the Great White Shark starts carving up the street you will have a smile on your face. The 991 GT3 is freakin fast. I know not many talk about it because some also have a 458 ect but this car hauls in a straight line for a GT3 and when you hit the twisties "forget about it"
