There is a day on Sept 30th with Pistenclub. I was thinking this might be a good first track day after a week breaking in the car in the Swiss Alps (couple friends and activities planned there). But, this overlaps some other good events on the same day...

Added to the list of possibilities, so your not going to a track day till the 30th?

Hi guys:

Hockenheim is always nice and Pistenclub also. even so it can get busy sometimes. Maybe I would chime in on Hockenheim on the Sept 30th.
Might need to book in advance so because sometimes the stints for the street legal cars are booked out soon (they have also non street legal cars but it I do not do those due to insurance issues).

Also I think driving on track will be safer for you guys with all the track experience you have compared to a high speed Autobahn run where you never knwo which a$$hole decides to pull over to the fast lane without ANY reason ....

Just my 0.02 €

Short report from Pistenclub @ Nordshleife:

07.00 Registration
07.30 Drivers meeting
08.00-09.00 Follow me: We did 5 laps
09.00-17.00 Open Pitlane

I had optioned for a coach and after the Follow me laps the coach drove me in my car for three laps.

Two laps without using the brakes (interesting)
One lap with brakes

After that he let me drive two laps and then I drove him for two laps, after that I got feedback.

And after that I could do what I wanted: Drive laps for myself or use the coach.

My impression is that I think it is was a well organized event. They spoke english, german and some french.

Coolest cars of the day: Mosler MT900 street version and two Lexus Racecars (do not know what class) - sounded amazing - think Mercedes AMG SLS but more. Did not see the cars up close, they had their own paddock. They probably did some training - they just did lap after lap after lap.

Are you in for September 30th. at Hockenheim?
Any other dates I need to know about fro Hockenheim, or other tracks within driving distance?

I fly back on the 7th. so need to drop a car off at the dealer for service the 6th. but I will be back a few days later or maybe I will just stay LOL.

Kobalt, have you signed up for Spa yet?
It's on, so excited to start booking! Pistenclub sounds like a good group to me.

I'm puzzling; Anyone who knows Oschersleben? Is it a good track, track days Oct 5+6.
Is Dijon a good track?
Zolder worth it?

Same day as me, so hopefully we'll be in the same group at factory for tour and car presentation.

Some of the guys on Rennteam like Dijon (but not in the same class as Spa and Nurburgring which seem to be peerless).

Raced the Spa 24 hours last year.. What a track... Quite scary at night....
I have 300 miles on my GT3.. I am thinking 300 more and that will be more than enough for break in.

Spa is on top of my list, but starting with a few days at the Ring and Hockenheim for convenience and low KM's as I'm limited to 6000km for euro delivery.

Next stop Spa with Zolder I think and trying to line up a van and trailer for my 2nd trip to sand port, Ochersleben, RedBull Ring, Dijon, Mugello and other Italien tracks. Without trailer I can get to the further away tracks...

Looking for more feedback about what tracks are worth going to..

I don't want to be liable for German taxes if I go over before I bring it back....
