Default Rain tire for the track??

Had the Pilot sport cup 2s on for a few sessions in the rain and lets just say it was interesting. Anyone found a good rain tire for the track?

Pilot Super Sport? They were reasonably good in heavy rain and light snow

Yes this is what I think I will go with, Was hoping for a more dedicated track/rain tire perhaps from Hoosier yet still DOT. I haven't seen anything else for the GT3 stock rims other than the super sports. Wonder if the PA4s would hold up, temps drop up here in the high plains/Rockies, coupled with Rain was just too much for the sport cup 2s but they still weren't that bad, just got to work on my throttle control.
was hoping for something more like this to throw on in bad stuff

Not in 20s. You'll have to wait a while for something like that in 20s.

Personally I wish the 991 GT3 came with 19s.

I agree, I am really worried about the RS. Those crazy 21s are going to be a serious pain with new rubber, 1 choice and one choice only

FWIW, I quite liked the tire this last Sunday. I felt like I was able to get some pretty great times out of it. I didn't look, but I wish I'd gone over and checked the tires on the two Twin Turbos that were out on the track with me. They would pull me on the straights, but I could usually make a lot of it back up in the corners, even when wet, which surprised me. mlp

Is anyone having additional information about tire choice for rainy trackdays?

I second Max LTV's suggestion of Michelin Super Sports.

A little off the point, but Hoosier Wets (as pictured) will seem amazing over any street tire in the rain. Then try a true rain slick and the Hoosiers will seem like complete crap. Of course, real rain slicks are overkill for anything but racing. But they are so amazing you almost have to try them once. Physics can be defied! Or at least your brain's logic for what should be possible in the wet.
