many smaller companies don't chase the approvals due to how expensive they are. While it is probably fine (Redline make great products) Porche is unlikely to support your conclusion based on the label.

I say this as someone who uses Redline products outside of vehicle manufacturer support.

You are right, my bad. Recommended, not approved because Redline have not paid the Porsche “tax” 🤓🤣

I have GT4 model 06/2016.
After 1year 2.500km in 2017 I changed oil In sign Porsche service Germany and they used Mobil1 5W-50.
Now after 2 years 06/2018 4.099km Car was in Porsche Germany on service again and used Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40.
On my question why changed Mobil1 for Shell Helix ultra was answer if I want another 2 year guaranty 06/2020 must use Shell.
New approved oil for Porsche was their answer.
That same in Turbo S model 05/2017 which had on service my friend on 1.399km.
War oil companies ? You have same experiens?
thanks

Oil weight is determined by the clearance of the main bearings. Porsche specify that oil, use it, do not deviate.
