I am starting to lose confidence in porsche if this is all about $$ and not customer satisfaction. maybe too much about a branding concept and not about the final product?

^^I think what he means is when you get the lawyers involved ect. - you want to be careful leaving any paper trail ect that could later on be used against you

Ask for your money back and get an attorney to help you with buy back. I don't know what the lemon law rules are in your state.
A new engine will be fine but it will not be stamped with same serial number. You will lose resale value, but not sure if that's important to you. Porsche will take care of you but a lot of this is due to your relationship with the dealer. Sounds like you need to ditch the dealer.
Porsche took care of me on my GT3 RS engine that was a few months out of warranty. I received a brand new Porsche engine under warranty and was very pleased at how Porsche NA and Park Place Porsche handled the situation.

Agree- I do not believe a new engine will hurt value. Maybe it will mentally screw with your head but I was fine with my 2014 replacement.
It is sort of the same issue when you find out your Wife actually slept with some one else before marrying you

hi everyone,
so I have an update and I believe a happy ending to the issues.
After the car being at Manhattan Motors for 5 weeks PCNA offered me either a full refund or my car back on a new engine, plus compensation. I was 99% sure I was getting the refund, but then had a chance to drive my car and it felt better than ever. So I kept the car, and I'm really happy I did - I waited almost two years to get a GT3 and to have it taken away from me was a huge disappointment.
In the end PCNA did the right things and took good care of me. I'm a happy Porsche customer.

Congratulations. As you say I think you got what you really wanted - a fully working car. I'm sure, very quickly, the five weeks without the car will disappear from you memories.
