Default 'Maritime Blue'...I don't think so!

Sorry Mike DeFalco, but that is not 'Maritime Blue'. That was the PAG intro 2010 911 Turbo that was used for the debut of that model (.2 997 Turbo). It's most likely 'Mexico Blue'.

'Maritime Blue' looks like this (in background)!

Or PeteyDaddy's 'Maritime Blue' gt3

So on a scale of lighter to darker, with increasing purple as you get darker, the order is:

Gulf>Rivera>Mexico>Voodoo>Maritime>Ultraviolet

Not sure where Club Blau fits; proabably between Voodoo and Maritime.

I think that is correct.

I wish it was that simple Nizer to compare both. But I caution all to remember these prophetic words by the owner go that PTS 'Maritime Blue' gt3: "Its amazing how this color really changes with the light...".

Here is the same car photographed in different light conditions:

PS I will shortly start a new thread in this gt3 forum on just the nuances of the current PTS colors which might be helpful to others as they decide on their PTS selection for the 991 gt3 RS! I am getting a number of PM's & emails on the subject, so I might as well broaden the discussion to a larger audience & get other perspectives too!

Oh, I'm well aware. I was going to include a photo of each in my post but it's impossible to find any consistency.

I am curious how Maritime compares to Ultraviolet since Maritime has the most purple of any of the non-metallic blues we're discussing.

Look forward to your new thread. In the meantime, here's yet another variation of Maritime Blue.

Crazy variations of maritime. I'll bet wheels, struts, highlights, slats, backlights, marker lights will also significantly affect appearance.

The 997.2 Turbo looks like Maritime Blue in some photos, but I have seen other photos of that car where it does look like its Mexico/Rivera like this one:

That 991 GT3 looks more purple than any other Maritime Blue car I've ever seen in those inside photos. Maritime Blue has to have the widest hue array than any other Porsche Blue. Whenever confused about "Maritime Blue" I refer to a 964, it was a popular color for that generation:

Not a problem, Mike. If there is a color we can all get pretty confused about, 'Maritime Blue' is it!
