Any Porsche is much cheaper.
So basically if you actually drive it, Ferrari depreciates like any other car.

Advising someone which car to buy is like saying eat chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla since it tastes better. Personal predilectioins should determine which car to buy since they all have differeing traits and performance virtues. Drive the cars that are of interest and buy the one that provides you with the most thills and enjoyment. It is that simple. Financial considerations are more objective, but the purchase of a $200000 plus vehicle is by nature not a prudent fiscal endeavour.

i remember my calculation on the F430:

if each 20.000miles you have to replace clutch (6,5k€), headers (5k€), wishbones (3k€) + insurance and minimum depreciation it sums up to around 2,5€ per mile. used or new doesn´t matter.

those three "wear parts" positions above are alone: 0,7€ per mile.

i´m not aware of such weak points on the 458. if you would have bought a used one in the last three years you would have not lost a dime during this time owning even driving it. but same on the F430.

missing driving one. and should not have looked into the current Scuderia Owners thread
