There is no need for the lip to stick out that far 3/8- 1/2" max is all that is needed.

Also, a much more subtle *leading edge* fin shape also works. Here is my wiper blade version showing the minimal lip size, and it works perfectly (would love an anodized aluminum version, but only if it looks as small / inconspicuous):

Wowzers....being made of aluminum, I hope that "molding sensitive tape" holds like they are one with molding because if those things come off during flight (especially at speed) it will be a game ender for the paint on the rear doors/fenders?

I'm going to try the wiper technique...looks pretty stealth to me.

I am leaning towards the wiper blade for that reason, as ghetto-fabulous-MacGruber as it is. Wiper blade vs. paint/wrap = no problemo.

Thanks you guys, I wish I could wave my wand and make a perfect factory looking part. It is possible but expensive especially for the limited GT3 track market. I have the perfect part in mind just don't know how to get there.
