Let me be perfectly clear....My intentions were never to send him any money....Never once would I send anyone a dime under these circumstances.....

I was just annoyed from the get go a dealer would give back to back allocations and have the customer then sell one.....especially when so many enthusiasts and long term customers would love to have this car....

Thanks for playing it out, but I'm thinking this is not a real person with a real allocation, let alone 2.

Eric:

You played it perfectly well. I salute you for your diligence & smart 'follow up' re: this Craiglister. I would send all the information you have gathered on the subject, dealer & the proposed transaction to these two gentlemen at Porsche Cars North America. Even if they don't respond on a timely basis, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have alerted them to a situation they NEED to investigate involving dealer practices in the US which often lead to this type of attempted abuse.

Saludos,
Eduardo
Carmel

Assuming this isn't a scam for non existent cars, for someone to have 2 GT4 allocations at one dealer suggests to me that they are _very_ closely related to the dealer.

No, because at Ferrari the dealer does the flipping via an MSRP buyer who trades it back in 6 months with no mileage to speak of. Then the dealer sells it used for way over MSRP new. Same game Eric, just different player profiting. Oh and that MSRP buyer (many pay over MSRP now) has had to buy other used Ferraris at over list to climb to the preferred buyer position.

I am frustrated by the Porsche process too, and that's why I had to go out of state to buy my GT3.

I just picked up my GT3 over the weekend, my dealer told me there is one more open slot for new GT3 build for $25k over sticker. I thought GT3 order stopped in January. Both news are shocking.

Absolutely true.....at least it's a transparent process though....dealers can't sell new cars for MSRP+, used is fair game though....
