Same.

I've since came across a Racing Yellow (with Montana plates) and the Sapphire Blue that I'll see from time to time. As well as my direct neighbor with the same white as mine that I just recently found out about.

I guess that makes my count to be 5 GT3's in PV.

I know of another black one and an agate grey (GEF) in PV, as well as a GR that I've seen in the Torrance Memorial Dr.'s parking area.

We need a group photo!

GT3's are all over SoCal. There will be 15 of us at the Thermal Club this Friday. The paddock should be quite a sight.

*Edit* I didn't realize that there was a page. I don't know who runs the page, but there is a group that I started which is more conducive to sharing and posting than a page. Here's the direct link to the Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1565101440435676/

It's a private "country club" race track complex outside of Palm Springs, CA. Members only. Mega expensive to join and annual dues. Membership requires (I think) you to build a custom garage (multistory, many sq ft) on site. It's adjacent to the Thermal airport.

Their business model appears to be: Fly your Gulfstream/Bombardier/Falcon into the airport. Go to track, take your 918/P1/LaFerrari out to play on the track for the day. Return to airport, fly back to your home. That may be a bit of an exageration - I imagine some people fly in on turboprops and drive Lambos. I think it's essentially similar to the Monticello track in upstate NY, and I think there's a similar track somewhere in the Midwest as well.

The track has been open now for about 1.5 years. There was an event there last year for people who'd ordered 918's to meet the car. BMW has a driving school there, similar I imagine to Porsche's in Birmingham. They haven't finished track construction, but presently have two separate but connectable circuits. When they build out the third I think they expect to have about 4.5 miles of track available.

Since I have ZERO chance of ever becoming a member, I jumped on an opportunity to go out there. I doubt I'll get the chance again.

Check it out at thethermalclub.com

I got a tour there when my wife and I were watching tennis at indian wells 2 wks ago(25 min away).
Even walked thru some of the residences under construction. Cool place. Cooling suits and A/C in the summer. F1 style lights in corners controlled by a worker in a high tower seeing the whole track rather than turn workers with flags.
