What is the over/under on RSs they will make? I feel like there should be a line on this in Vegas.

Did you take the allocation? When is the build date? I was told by Porsche that all builds are already taken. There are some inconsistencies, but I don't know who to believe. I want one, but cannot get one from the local dealer I bought my '11 .2RS from.

Ok, this is approximately were we stand.....

Posters to this thread - ~40

Posters that have an allocation/build - 8
- rockitman
- plasticdoc
- JCBH
- clocked - (in cue, not confirmed)
- superman32
- conincident - not sure if this is a confirmed build
- inndee
- kyrocks
- hoopumpers

I'm not sure everyone poster wants one, but I think the majority do, so there is a fair bit of demand that will not be satisfied.

If I can't buy one new then I'll buy one used...simple as that and I'll save 8% on sales tax doing so.

Texas RS - To clarify on your list, I DO NOT have a confirmed order. What I have is a "order in cue" and only it will be built if there are allocations available. Best way to describe it, it is a "demand order" so PNA can see how many people would place an order if allocations exist. My dealer believes once the 918 customers GT3RS are built they will open up added allocations in the 4th quarter. of this year.

I am in Houston and Porsche of North Houston is my dealer.

They sold 5 918s and all 5 918 buyers took their allocation and they got an additional 5 RSs for a total of 10. I'm disappointed that I'm not on the list, but I understand that there are folks that have bought a lot more P-cars than me from this dealer.

With the realization that I couldn't control whether I would get an allocation or not, I decided to commission a very focused P-car. I should be receiving my '95 993 "GT2 RSR" in a couple of more months. In many ways it will be a polar opposite to the new RS, no stability control, traction control or ABS. Spec is for 435hp and 2300 lbs, in the right hands I expect it to be a very capable track car.

Here is a short video of the inspiration for my car, my car is being built by the owner/driver of this car to a very similar spec with the exception of mine is intended to be street legal.

I will still be looking for an 991RS in the future.

I think what's happening is a lot of dealers including mine have the allocations but are not releasing them to their customers at MSRP. They are speccing the cars themselves and hoping to sell them at big premiums when they get them. I have read here that few people who are not part of the VIP program got their allocations at MSRP. I told this to my dealer he looked at me like I had three heads!! He said I can have one of their two allocations but at a premium. I didn't even ask how much cause there is no way I'm paying over MSRP for any car. I am more than happy with my "base" GT3 which I finally picked up yesterday. Waiting for better weather to take some pictures to share with you guys
