I just got a message from my dealer, my May build RS is now a July build. Someone posted about an 8 week delay due to a lack of bucket seats, I guess my car fell into that bin. @!#A
I went for white. Why? Because I can get a full wrap any color I like for about $2,000 and protect the original finish. Seems like a better deal than 3.700 (in Canada) for Lava Orange for example.
Now looking at September delivery and with Global Warming it will probably snow up here in October.

At the very least, if PAG would send another 300-400 to the US, they'd get those snapped up instantly... and there'd still be more demand (which lends to their "exclusivity" desires, if they so choose).

The number I was told... available to the public. was approximately 380 cars. I believe the total number was approximately 600. I can speculate on other rumors or information from other sources.... that was the number I was told.

Thanks Zach. Seems US total RS number will reach close 1000 if they release more allocations later.

More dealerships DID NOT GET A CAR than dealerships that DID. Also, directly from a horses mouth.
If you believe Porsche will release more than that you will be shopping dealer mark up pre-built cars, or the used market and a large mark up from guys who were fortunate to purchase at MSRP.
I cannot comment on any rumors genreated about a single car over 600 units. I can only relay what was told to me by an employee in a position of management with Porsche North America.
