Thanks bronson and Eduardo. It was kind of fun actually.

In large part, the conclusions are based on manually checking each possible VIN against the Porsche admin site. I assumed that the VIN block for MY2015 GT3s was generally continuous (with only small one to two number gaps which may represent an unused VIN or a missing record in the above site (when the latter occurred, I was able to confirm a VIN was indeed used from the build sheet or VIN as posted by selling agents, websites like RL, people in the know, owners, etc)). I knew my own VIN number and also had one or two VINs from the 30 cars, as a starting point.

Obviously this approach limits my findings to North American cars. Also I did not bother going back to check all the late calendar year 2014-produced but MY2015 cars, as that would be another undertaking to review a few hundred more VINs, and was not relevant to the 30 extra cars. I did however review every single calendar year 2015 GT3 in that VIN block (9061 to 9263), and I was able to see which were PTS from their admin site. No specific info on PTS colour can be obtained this way, so I can't say more than whether it was solid vs metallic. But it clearly distinguished PTS from all other colours.

As to the "Green" GT3 you linked, you stated previously that it was a Sept 2014 build, and I did not check MY2015 cars built in 2014. Only in calendar year 2015. So I must assume it is not one of the last two built in Feb 2015.

As for Mr. G, I do not know him personally.

I don't really have any information about why these 30 were built. Your theory about testing in house paint capabilities for all parts sounds plausible.

I have 9251 (Stevinson Car). Just for the sake of being correct, it does not have carbon fiber interior.

For context, in calendar year 2015, there were 10 "regular" customer-ordered PTS GT3s in North America (5 Canadian, 5 US), all in solid (non-metallic) colours--one of these was my own Fashion grey GT3 which was built in January. These were built in the first two months of 2015, and of course there were also quite a few MY2015 PTS GT3s built in 2014.

Of the cars built towards the end of the run (in calendar year 2015), we heard about H82BL8's beautiful Viper green car, which was one of the last PTS GT3s, and it too was built in January. But there were 2 cars built in February (the last of the last PTS!), 1 each to Canada and the US. Beyond this, a moratorium on PTS halted any further PTS cars being built for the 991.1 GT3 ever again...

that is of course, until the appearance of the 30 extra 2015 PTS GT3s that Eduardo has been reporting on!

I have learned that the Signal green cars were the first batch to be built. Production occurred in March 2015, but only for 8 of the 10. And there were indeed 10 extra Signal green GT3s in total it seems. The VIN gaps that were noted do not correspond to "missing" Signal green cars (those VINs are for non-PTS cars (white, black, etc), as the VINs for these extra cars were not consecutive), and thus there were not 14 cars. That also means there may well have been non-PTS 2015 GT3s built around the same time (?concurrently) as these Signal green cars, i.e. in March 2015!

The 2 Signal green cars (McKenna and Stevinson), that were able to be modified from the standard spec of the other 8, were delayed to April 2015. The modifications have been discussed before, and include PCCB (both), CF interior (both), and CF sills (one), and meant the cars had a higher MSRP.

I do believe, Eduardo, you have accounted for all 10 of the Signal green cars:
VIN ending in
9237 - Bellevue
9238 - McKenna
9240 - Road Scholars
9242 - Momentum
9243 - Beachwood
9244 - Beverly Hills
9248 - PCNA/IMSA/Livermore
9249 - Rancho Mirage
9250 - San Diego
9251 - Stevinson
So congratulations on a great sleuthing job and finding all 10 siblings in the Signal green family!!

Thank you Bob815 for clarifying that your car doesn't
have a 'carbon fiber' interior. Anything else you can tell
us about the history of your car would be appreciated.
Was it originally sold to a local person in Denver at MSRP?
How many miles does it have when you bought it? How
many miles now! What do you think of the car now that
you have had it for a while?

I wish my 'Signal Green' gt3 had the PCCBs. They are
perfect on a street car where you don't worry about
damage in track conditions (stuck pebbles damaging
the rotors, hitting the rotors while exchanging wheels,
excessive wear & tear, high replacement costs). For
street use PCCBs, especially the latest III version, seems
to be bullet-proof & might last the life of the Porsche
vehicle!

Sadly i had to let my Arena Red GT3 go. I ordered a new RS and it finally arrived. WOW! what a beast! CXX options look stunning, the car is just amazing. I initially planned to keep the Arena Red GT3, however it was just not feasible at this time- wife wants a new ride, kids with lots of expense, ect ect. The good news however is that a 991.2 GT3 has been approved by the boss for the future, and rowing the gears will be back! Cheers to whoever purchased my old ride, it is an amazing vehicle and I will miss it.

Nice 411 mile 2015 GT3 Signal Green with Ceramics and yellow rollbar for sale at McKenna. I think this may be the original car they sold 05/15.

Remember, they can ask whatever they want, but will anybody pay it? Doubt it.

Thank you, Blueflame. Always nice to see
an unusual color that is rarely ordered but
definitely on PAG's Approved List!

Another of our late allocation '15 PTS gt3 surfaces
in a Rennlist classified ad:

This was the infamous late allocation PTS '15 gt3
received by Rusnak Pasadena that claimed for months
its PTS color was something else (Mexico Blue) &
was asking a 'marked market adjustment' of $40K!

**

That is not the fault of the buyer. I hope he negotiated a
fair price when he bought it. It's a beautiful car & we wish
him good luck with his sale at the present time:

Saw one of the Signal Green unicorns today in Chicago around lunchtime (headed east on Lake, about to cross the south branch of the river and head into the Loop). Standard IL non-vanity plate.

Anyone here?

Absolutely stunning! It reminds me of some of the metallic blue's used in the 1980's. I tried like crazy to get my Spyder with PTS in a similar color to this.
