Default For those looking for a clean Valentine One radar install with Savvy

Here is my weekend install of the V1 with Savvy and remote display.
I understand some people may not want an under mirror install. The other
option is the suction cup or visor clip. But for me the Blendmount works fine
and doesn't bother my field of view.
The Savvy I mounted below the steering column using the following cord:

http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Profile-Extension-Compatible-Protocols/dp/B00M7MPBSU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1426981454&sr=8-6&keywords=obd-II+low+profile+extension http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Profile-Extension-Compatible-Protocols/dp/B00M7MPBSU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1426981454&sr=8-6&keywords=obd-II+low+profile+extension

I don't recommend using a thinner ribbon cable cord as they are too easy
to get pinched and damaged.
The wheel on the Savvy is accessible for adjustment. The OBD-II cord fits
nicely under the fuse cover and you avoid having the Savvy sticking out by
your feet and having to cut a hole in your fuse box cover to accommodate it.
I like having the remote display to use at night during those times when
someone may want to draft me as a radar drone. I know Valentine has an
App to use for remote but I like having my iPhone to use for other purposes,
like Waze etc.

Very nice and clean installation, Rob. It is very similar to mine, but I added a V1 Connection LE. Like you, I don't use the V1 Connection app as an alternative display for my V1. Instead, I used it to create Custom Sweeps for KA band, program them into my V1, turn on the "Junk K filter", and to set the speed below which the Savvy mutes alerts. This allowed me to have my Savvy stuffed up under the dash out of sight.

Can you describe what is hooked to what?

i.e. ODBII to Savvy, Savvy to V1? Is all power coming from that one connection, or is V1 hardwired? If so how?

I assume Rob's is connected in a similar manner to mine. The OBD II extension cable plugs into the OBD II port, and the Savvy plugs into the other end of the extension cable. The Savvy has one port for the V! to be plugged into and one for an accessory such as the remote display or a V1 Connection. That's all that's required.

Nice...will do the same config. Thanks for info.

On the power from ODBII does the V1 power turn on/off with ignition?

Bought a Passport and it su*ks. Zero laser hits.

Yes, although there is a couple of seconds of delay after the ignition is switched off. I have the same setup on both of my 991's, and it works great.

Thanks again.

That is correct! Thanks for answering that for me. Everything is hard wired and tucked away along the headliner/windshield and down the A-pillar and down below the dash to the OBD extension cable.
Now I need to get the App and the LE!
I'm sending it off for the latest junk filter update.
