Mostly because Lava Orange feels like a PTS color to me. Still, it doesn't trump my favorite PTS colors.

Yup. That's definitely one of them.

Sadly, it's the only one of my favorites that is not yet approved for the 991. Still in feasibility review.

Email received from my dealer today re PTS: "Paint to Sample will be available for the GT3 RS, though it will only be available for a limited amount of units and in a limited amount of colors. At this time, we do not have an official release date."

Ah, nice. Thanks for sharing!

Not going to believe anything until I hear it directly from Porsche Exclusive (whom I've been in contact with about the 991.1 GT3 RS and the 981.1 Cayman GT4). They're pressing on PCNA / PAG to open things up.

Here you go...dealer took photos with an overcast.

Thanks for the pics - very informative . Lava does have a lot of color shift depending on light conditions , but thankfully doesn't exhibit any of the salmon hues many of us were concerned about . For a solid color it shifts like pearl effect colors . I'm still not 100% sure I'll leave my build in Lava ( especially if PTS becomes available ) , but it looks nice .

Thank you very much! This helps a lot! The lower part of the lava sample looks like it might have a bit of salmon to it? The top of it looks more red which I like. Feels like white and silver would be the safest way to go.

Great shots, thanks.

Lava feels like the defining color for this car. I like how it looks with black wheels, but now have to pay for black headlights. $2K to go black to match the other bits, they get you every time.

I do not think Lava has a salmon color to it any more It does look close to GR but I think it will lean more towards an orange hue in the sunlight. UV is an acquired taste - no like.

White or GT Silver would be my route if PTS was a no option

Just sent Brett my color preference(s).

Maritime Blue if PTS. Lava Orange, if not.

I'd rather have Chartreuse, but sadly it's still in feasibility review.

Will have to save Chartreuse for the .2, or something.

I wish Ultraviolet was darker, actually. I'd like it more.

Glad to see someone else request Maritime - maybe the more requests they get the more likely they'll agree to it .
