They do. I have it on mine, permanently fixed and it looks like an original part.
Will get info on the source

Open the door and apply the tape over the triangular trim. One application lasted all weekend.

This just proves my point, it doesn't take a lot to disrupt the airflow to stop the buffeting. I took my index finger and stuck it out just a little in the corner of the window and it made a big difference at 100mph.

Tested my new windshield wiper blade buffeting fix at Laguna Seca yesterday. Worked like a charm! Not a single hint of buffeting at speed...

I have done something similar. It turns out installed only on one side it is 100% effective.

I love those cheap solutions that work... So simple but so effective.

Thanks Mech33! Great solution. Mine have held up for a month now. I used double sided 3/8" wide black side moulding tape
by 3M to adhere the wiper blade strips. Each side is about 3-4" long. No one even noticed them at a recent car show.

J. D. Power Survey - This was virtually the only negative comment I reported. "How could the Porsche engineers continue to miss on this issue. My 997.1 C2 and my 997.2 GTS exhibited this same issue?"

I will try the wiper blade fix but would ask for a picture on how to tape this so it stays in place at speed.

Taking the door panel off, messing with the air-bag and mirror to put a $160 car bob fiberfix on a $160k car is ludicrous.

I got the Porsche North America survey via email the other day. This wind buffeting was my primary complaint. I encourage everyone to reach out to Porsche NA. This problem is unacceptable. I commend those of you that have come up with creative fixes. It shouldn't be our problem to fix! Should be a campaign Porsche does quietly. If we make enough noise they will do something.

I already told one of my friends that works for Tesla (a new 991 GT3 owner) to manufacture and sell OE-looking replacements.

None of the solutions I have seen until now are acceptable for a $150k car. Period.

Default Wind Deflector

I finally bit the bullet and installed the Blackmill wind buffeting wings.

Great product - works as advertised up to 150 mph.

I tried every home made solution. They all worked reasonably well but began to fall off with car washes and 3M tape peeling off of the rubber pieces.
