Seat Belt & Hans Device Options
I searched through OrthoJoe's thread and others in this forum but didn't find answers; please just redirect me if I missed them.
I have a 991 GT3 with 18-way adaptive seats. I find the seats with the alcantara to be supportive for my level of track work, but I would like to consider either a 4 or a 6-way harness equipped with a Hans device. I would prefer not to install a cage because I also use the car as a daily driver. What are my options?
Thanks!

There is such a restraint that works with stock seats and allows for hans device but the Porsche 18 way seats won't allow it because the head restraint is integrated into the seat.https://www.schrothracing.com/search/id/2317
Then there is the R3, which allows you to use a hans without a roll bar or multipoint restraint. Likely not as safe.

Keep in mind that if you are going to track the car, most if not all car clubs and track day groups will not allow the use of 5 or 6pt harnesses with stock seats that do not have a pass through for the shoulder belts. If you are going to install harnesses, then you should have a proper seat and roll bar installed as well. Harnesses are just one component to a proper safety system.

All good advice. For North Americans with LWB's has a "gold standard" emerged yet in terms of an optimal roll cage/harness package?

There are lots of after market seats that will work but you will lose the side airbag functionality and will get the AIRBAG light on. The GT2 RS seats have the airbags but getting the light to go off is tricky and they are pricey if for occasional use. Then you will need a harness/roll bar for the safety mechanism to work well. If you are going to track 3-4 times a year only and won't drive "flat out", the R3 and hans may be an acceptable in-between measure.

I bought the Cantrell roll bar:

I will be purchasing Recaro seats and swap them in and out for track:
