Popped into BMW dealer today to do a "little business" and saw an i8. Nothing too unusual there except it was marked up by $90,000!!! I can get splashing $5-10k on a GT3 but $90k!! That's the price of a GT4! And I think there are plans to bring out a three engined i8 in the future??

Hmm, it's actually gone down.

About a year ago, the asking price in SoCal was ~100k USD over MSRP.

Are these cars supposed to be rare/limited production? I've seen half a dozen here in north Houston over the past few months, and there's about 70 new ones listed for sale on cars.com (with about a dozen of them listed for $200k or more).

Not a car I would be ever interested in. No liberal tree hugging battery drive in my car....a real turn off on the 918, no matter how well implemented. I'm on this planet to burn hydrocarbon...and burn I will while alive...

I think the concept of an i8 is great. But this is just so god dam ugly... Wouldn't even pay below MSRP for it. I think even at retail, it's over priced...

I guess there is always those suckers that pays for the latest...
