nim, that's a really good photo showing how much depth there is to Fashion grey. Most of the time, the car is shot against a background other than white. It can pick up so much of the ambient colour from the nearby environment, sky, etc. In your photo in the snow with overcast sky, you see the colour as it really is. It is darker than most photos seem to show, other than on the wailing wall, where compared to other silvers and greys it seems to look darker than I'd expect. It's a very complex and fascinating colour. Thanks for that photo!

I love fashion gray. Almost ordered my M3 in it. However now that chalk is out I don't see many people paying PTS prices for a color many will confuse with chalk.

Discerning Porschephiles would never confuse chalk with fashion grey. I like chalk but the PTS upcharge is “only” $8k up from there. This is the last GT3 with a naturally aspirated motor - I’m not making any compromises.

Hope you post your impressions and some photos, WenerE! When does your GT3 arrive?

June. Hopefully the CARB issues preventing delivery of Touring models are sorted by then. 😎. Counting the days just makes waiting worse, so I’m just being patient. Don’t worry, I’ll post my impressions and photos to reveal what the color “confidential” looks like in the sun, shade and rain.

Yeah, FG doesn't photograph well but looks lovely in person. It's also very dirty with snow, salt etc : ).

Just a few updates:

We have confirmation there were four 911R's painted in Fashion grey. This has been published in the 911 R book by TAG.

According to the really awesome work to compile unofficial stats for North American-bound 991.2 GT3's (thanks Camsporsche and Loess!!!), Chalk (aka Crayon elsewhere) is the most popular colour (14%) for this model to date. Despite this, there still are at least 3 Fashion grey 991.2 GT3's ordered by customers in the USA! For comparison, I am aware of only 3 Fashion grey 991.1 GT3's worldwide ordered by customers directly (not part of the 10 additional cars awarded to dealerships). Apart from the one due soon in TX to Pr3z on montoya's list, it seems there are another two which have arrived in FL and IL. To me, that's very interesting and I'm really happy for the new owners who'll be enjoying their new .2 GT3's in this wonderful colour!! Here is the car at Isringhausen (photo from Will's IG):

If the new owners are on RL, please feel free to post a photo or two--and congratulations!!

Awesome Pr3z!! Thanks for clarifying that that car is yours. Look forward to hearing all about it when you pick it up!

Edit to my prior post: there are 2 known Fashion grey 991.2 GT3's for USA.

It's home. Will get some glamour shots in the next few weeks when the mods go on it.
