Dealers skeptical now how many allocations they'll get. Any ideas in comparison to the number of GT3 allocations received?

I mentioned this somewhere else, my dealer is the 4 largest in the US. 9 out of 9 of the 918 customers have ordered the car. They are not sure how many more allocations if any they will get but the 918 folks will get the car.

That doesn't seem very fair...you have to be a member of the big boy spend club to get an RS? WTF!

I was lucky to get the first allocation to my dealer after 918s get filled. My understanding from them is that production will be limited to somewhere between 475 and 600 units for which 218 will be offered to 918 buyers. I know what people are saying but my dealer has been pretty accurate in the past so I would not bank on a large production number.

My dealer told me their four 918 owners all will get one as well. I am betting a lot of those cars will get resold.

100% take up rate for my dealer as well - they sold 5 918s. I'm first regular person in line and they're trying to get thing sorted with Porsche Exclusive for me.

Bingo. A buddy is one of those 918 owners and is taking his.

The agreement is they must NOT resell for at least 6 months after taking delivery. Just FYI.

PS - He was told that US 918 allocations DO count again the total US allocations...who knows if that will be true or not.

I heard the same re total allocations, but that they were increased to account for this. I heard 500ish + the 918 take up, so expected to be around 725.
