Like the others... No front plate.

Don't know what it's like in Maryland but in California most places it's just a $25 fine and fix it ticket. (Correction) which means installing the front plate.

Get the ticket, take this out of the drawer in the garage..

www.usmillworks.com

screw that baby on, drive down to the police station, have the fix it violation signed off, give them the $25, drive home, open garage, unscrew, open drawer and put the www.usmillworks.com back in the drawer.

Close drawer, get back in car and drive.

At least that's what I do at least 3, sometimes 4 times a year.

It's pathetic that we have to put a front plate in many states (TX included), but it's a dice roll.

For me after the first ticket I will put it on--until then--f them.
smallTOWN cops are looking for ways to generate revenue for local jurisdiction!

i always run plate less in VA which is another state that requires it, never had a problem except when they do enforcement at the toll road plazas here (it is setup to just fine people for missing stickers or front plates)

I have never drilled any of my 911s, M3s, etc.; nor have I ever tried any of the front bumper license plate rigs. I'll pay the fines, no biggie.

Both of my Uncle's hotrods have a switch That hide the front and back plates at anytime. Wish there was a way to do that with, least the front, on a new 911 easily without doing too much fabrication....

Just caved and bought millworks--would never run with that off center thing, but to have for court date in future.

That's a very nice cop. A lot of them are.

That's one of the reasons I don't run a front plate. "Hey officer sir, how about giving me a no front plate ticket in place of that speeding ticket, pretty please?".

Worth a shot.

Just curious...

Will you still get a ticket if you place the front tag on your dashboard, where it meets the front windshield?

I've seen this practice on numerous sports cars while traveling in the DC Metro area.

Cheers,

B

in Maryland it is $60 ticket. i am suprised there isnt a better solution than the tow hook mount. Something that can be put on off easily and looks ok without damaging the bumper. Surely one of the very smart people can come up with something.

I too was pulled for no front plate in CA. New CHP was being a dick. I was out without my licance so he gave me a fixit for that. I bought a tow hook plate holder which I put on to fix a fixit. Most in CA don't bother you unless looking for an excuse.

No plate on my truck or Rover, & never a problem.

Keep the front plate n the front cargo are with a bracket that is broken. When you get pulled over show him that it just broke 30 min ago and you are going to fix it when you get home
