Have both on order, GT4 is a June quota I am told by Melissa at Porsche, claims mine will be one of the first in the country.

Interesting comment about the LWB:
"Other options include the one-piece bucket seats from the 918 Spyder. I found them too upright in the 918, but the padding of the £1,907 carbon chairs has been adjusted and now they're just right."

Is this the case with the LWB in the GT3 also? I seem to remember people found them fairly upright too. Can anyone compare the GT3 and 918 bucket seating position?

GT3 LWBs are significantly more comfortable - in the 918 the push my shoulders in and make it all feel a little bit cramped, no such issue in the GT3 LWBs.

I find the 918 buckets less comfortable than the OMP HTEs in my track car. But the GT3 buckets are my favorite Porsche seat.

There arent a lot of choices out there at the moment, I don't consider myself a Porsche guy so to speak, but the other cars that interest me aren't available yet or I have decided to pass on. This includes the new R8 (my 2017 for the U.S.), new NSX (Data not even published), 488 GTB (not going to buy my way up list so probably a few years out and rather wait for track version), 675LT (just doesn't seem extreme enough like the Longtail name).

Trust me, I want to diversify, but I can't find a good option!

Txs makes sense. Have to say the 488GTB would be my #1 priority if I had the means. I don't think I've seen a more sexy looking car in my life.
By diversity I was referring more towards different types of vehicle - a truck for heavy duty stuff, four door salon for family trips, hi performance to satisfy our carnal needs, etc.

I am first on the list for both. If someone one really wants the 991 GT3 RS and can't get one and really have to have one their way, they can buy me a light GT4 and I will let them spec out the RS their way and buy it at msrp. They are both great cars.

Maybe I can find a 918 owner who'll be kind enough to give me their allocation if they aren't interested in either car.
Have both on order.

Thanks NateOZ! Have they decreased the padding in the shoulder area to achieve this? Or is it something else they've done?

For anyone in the market for the GT4, here's an interesting review from Chris Harris. Noteworthy: comment re GT3...
