If, in fact, you do know, then how are so sure the future price premium won't be as significant or similarly "too high"?

Also, how do you know you will live long enough to see whatever future model Porsche has in its sights? Or, worse yet, how do you know you won't end up a paraplegic when/if the next great thing on four wheels comes from Stuttgart?

All kidding aside, that's just a roundabout way of saying unless you have a solid reason (ie financial or personal) for waiting, then there's no reason not to get the .1 RS (assuming of course you even want the car).

Good luck.
I'm waiting for 1.2RS. Very happy with 7.2RS, and 991.1RS is unproven. Will let others sort it out and reap rewards By time ppl take delivery of .1, Chris Harris will show up on yourube a few months later proclaiming how vastly superior the .2 is -- and probably be right. No guarantees there'll be a .2 but I'd put money is on yes.

After a 4 1/2 month delay due to PTS, I picked up the car this afternoon. I cannot believe I even entertained the thought of giving up my build slot. The car is incredible, and I do not know how on earth I am going to keep the revs below 4200 RPM for 2,000 miles.

Thank you to all of you for telling me to keep it real, and get the car.

Dark Blue Metallic? Maybe close, close enough anyway. Love it. Enjoy it in good health. The color gives me....I really tried to get one but have backed off. Maybe not a car I need (but really want), but need to regroup my thoughts. Bumped from slot one and only for a 911R, so need to reflect. My 997GT3 RS is a total pant load to drive on the street, serious violent first gear too. My 2015 GT3 is really nice, but for some reason I get in the GT4 a lot more often. PDK is awesome but requires the skill of ...

Thanks guys. The color is Dark Sea Blue (Meerblau), paint code A5G. It is a non metallic color.

Mussl Kar: Get one if you can. The car is incredible.
