Default Introduction and new owner

Today I became the proud owner of a 991 GT3! Despite reading nothing but praise about this car all my expectations have been exceeded. I'm thrilled with the car and hope to make a few contributions as I have learned quite a bit form you all in the past few days. Attached is a customary picture. My sons expression says it all for me!

Welcome to the car and the forum! Beautiful color, how does it compare to your McLaren?

Great car!

One question for nsd991. From your picture, it appears the GT3 logo in the door sill is red.
How was that accomplished? Was it done at the factory? I know Porsche provided the option for custom script for the door sill, but did they let you pick your color as well?

Thank you all for the welcome. The McLaren is an amazing technological achievement. HOWEVER, sounds crazy but it's too fast to enjoy on public roads, the depreciation was a concern, it garners too much attention for me, and I could seldomly find the "perfect day " to get it out. The GT3 is a welcome compromise for me as I can enjoy it daily, can wind it out a bit, no longer worry about monthly depreciation, and can be relatively stealth. The McLaren was traded in for the GT3 plus cash. For me the GT3 is a better fit.

I got the car used with 656 miles so didn't spec the car. I'll ask my sales guy who also sold this car to the original owner and report back.

Lol, yes Basalt Black. I didn't take that pic. I'm built like an F1 driver to reduce overall weight! As far as I'm concerned I have an RS as I'm more than 10kg lighter than most average adults!
