Second So. Cal. GT3 Get Together and Run March 7, 2015
**** For those that got split up, hope you guys are headed to Ortega Hwy to 15 to GP!
WAZE ROUTING
This will follow our plotted route:
1. Navigate select Aguanga General store select routes pick 1 hour 18 via sr-76
2. Navigate select Glistening Perfection.
3. Navigate select Global Motorsports Group.
As I am unable to change the title in the original thread, I'm starting this one so that there is no confusion regarding the date for this weekend. The original thread is here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/...28-2015-a.html
This thread is for the March 7, 2015 Get Together and Run. Signing up will provide us with anticipated turn-out.
We anticipate Ortega Highway being part of the run. Not to scare people into passing on the get together and run, please take a moment to read these 10 year old threads about Ortega and be cognizant that safety is our first priority.

Our lunch stop will be at Glistening Perfection who has graciously offered lunch. 2701 Aliso Creek Road, Aliso Viejo.
You do not have to own or bring a GT3 to attend. A Porsche is preferred but not required. We appreciated a black sheep lambo that showed last run. All Rennlist / 6Speed members are welcome to attend.
If you're interested, please list name and preferred dates.
UPDATE:
So, I've spoken with our lunch sponsor Moe Mistry with Glistening Perfection and he's ready to acommodate us and is making arragements for parking.
Scotty with GMG will kindly open up shop after we've had lunch at GP so we can check out all the nice gear and 991 GT3 products.
The plan for tomorrow morning is 9:00 a.m. meet at Falbrook. We will wait about 45 minutes for everyone to appear and then we'll head out for our run. After we're done the tour, we'll head over to GP for lunch, spend about an hour to an hour and a half there and then head over to GMG.
Look forward to seeing everyone.
Dan

GUIDELINES
1. Safety is the first and foremost concern. Do not drive beyond your limits or the limits of your GT3. If you want to go a little faster, you're up front. If you want to take it easy, stay in the rear. Remember many of us will be in break in and have slippery new tires even if they are MPSC2s.
2. Keep enough distance between you and the car in front of you. Please do not tailgate, there is no reason for it at all.
3. Keeping speeds at or near speed limit will make this a fun, safe and enjoyable run for everyone. Recognize local law enforcement, LAPD, CHP and Sheriff departments read these forums. We are fine with them doing so because we are mature enthusiasts who plan to have a safe run at or near speed limits.
4. Gas up in advance of attendance. Check your tires for pressure and wear.
5. Please have Waze available to locate a way point in case you get separated.
6. I am not an event coordinator and anyone attending this run does so at his or her own risk and assumes the liability for any personal injury or property damage.

Dan,
Apologies, but I will not be able to make this.
Out back east traveling for work, and won't return to SoCal until Saturday.

No worries. I received a PM suggesting we delay another week however, unless there are more folks unable to go out this weekend, it really is likley going to be a nice sunny day for the run. Will catch you on the next one or at Thermal.

Dan, I'm out for tomorrow. Work!
Thank you for all the organizing. It's really killing me I can't make it. It's going to be really cool getting that many SoCal GT3s together.
Be sure to watch out for the cyclists going up Palomar Mt! The South Grade is good to go up and the East Grade is better to go down. Plus the East Grade will put you in on the 76 right next to Lake Henshaw.
Have fun and be safe!

Hi Dan,
Thank you for the update, we are going to start the process of getting ready for tomorrow, tonight. The plan is to have one of our "HALO" 911 GT3 cars on display showcasing our products for your group. We will also have some cars on display, products on display, a shop tour of our facility, and one of our master technicians on hand to answer any questions.
We are hoping that most of your group will all attend this special private event!! Once, again please give me a call on my cell when your group is starting to head over to GMG. Thanks for everything and I look forward to seeing you and your fellow Porsche Enthusiast tomorrow.

Bummed that I won't be able to join up; yet another weekend of driving teenage daughters to and from appointments, interspersed with bouts of diving into my wallet to satisfy calls of "Dad, I need $X for this and $Y for that.
My alarm's set for 6am to go burn some fossil fuel and rack up more 'closer-to-break-in' miles in the GT3. It's a lonely endeavour, but then so is divorced parenting.
You kids have fun, and be safe out there! Hopefully next time...
Vivian.
