Default Thermal Club GMG/991 GT3 Track Day April 3, 2015

While visiting with James Sofronas with GMG, James was kind enough to bring up a track day event at Thermal Club.

http://www.thethermalclub.com

The event date currently being discussed is Friday April 3, 2015 and will be limited to 15 991 GT3 owners. Two spots are presently reserved. Ideally, we'd like to have this open to two groups, the novice/intermediate and the seasoned/veterns. This will be my first track day so, I'm hoping to share that with other newbies and not just be the sole slow guy on the track. There's was quite of bit of demand from So. Cal. folks who were on our first run for me or someone to set up a track day. Somehow, we have the good luck that this just fell in to place.

This is a private club and, we're fortunate to have someone who is able to set up this invitation only event for us. James will provide us with further details regarding pricing, logistics and format. I'm hoping there will be instruction in advance. I hope James will also provide us with insurance information and further discussion will take place in this thread.

The invitation is limited to 15 so, if you're interested, please post here. Also, I expect this will fill up pretty fast. So, please only request a spot if you are definitely in.

Dan,

Thanks for setting this up.
I will work on the logistics/pricing/etc and get back to you all shortly.
My biggest question will be who wants personalized instruction as that will be an additional cost.........maybe a chance to share a coach between 2-3 guys.

Any additional questions, you can email me directly at James@gmgracing.com

Cheers,

I'm interested.

I don't know if my car will be ready by then, but I'd definitely like a chance to run Thermal again.

The first time I ran it, I wasn't impressed with the track, but I'm sure it will be a fun group.

Am also interested in private instruction.

Appreciate the effort and legwork by Dan and James.

(There's a chance I may have to be in DC that week, but will try to work around it.)

If you don't get 15 and want to open it up to 996s, I'd be interested

James - I'm curious, is it only open to 15 because its not a dedicated day there? And you only get one run-group?

No, your car is too fast and will make the 991s/997s look slow. Props for wanting to take it out onto the track!
