My guess is a botched oil change job. I have pics of one that lit up about a year ago here in Dallas for that reason. That's when I learned where the oil filter is stupidly located.
It's not like this guy will get 100% of the purchase price back on the car unless he had a caveat for it in the insurance for the car; something like Liberty Mutual's complete car replacement or something similar. Unfortunately Insurance companies are in business to make money but they will fight tooth and nail to try to give their customer's as little as possible.

That's my plan as well. I'm forcing myself to stop trading in so often and just keep adding another car every few years. I can't wait to get a NA car again. The TTS is fast but not as exciting...
